Brian was born on August 24, 1972 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Stephen Lee and Norma Louise (Montgomery) Roberts. He grew up in Olathe, Kansas and graduated from Olathe North High School in 1991. He served in the United States Navy from 1992-2000. He received an HVAC Certification from Johnson County Community College. Brian married Kerri L. Pyle on April 30, 2005 in Olathe. They moved to Gardner 14 years ago. He was a valued employee for Hickman Heating and Cooling, Gardner, Kansas. Brian was a member of the New Life Community Church. He collected old mantle clocks, hunted for crystal rocks in Arkansas, and combed Florida beaches for shells. Brian found creative ways to make family and friends draw close together. He was always in the kitchen at family gatherings helping his mom or mother-in-law feed the crowds. He designed and made his own meat smoker and recipes for meat rubs. He turned his backyard into an orchard of apple, plum, peach, and cherry trees. His children will remember a dad who took the time to roller skate, play with Legos, and tell stories in character voices. Brian will be remembered for his integrity, his love for God, and his devotion to his family.

Brian is survived by his wife Kerri, his children Briley and Blane Roberts of the home, Gardner Kansas; daughter Ashley Roberts, Olathe, Kansas; parents Stephen and Norma Roberts, Drexel, Missouri; brothers David (Beth) Roberts, Topeka, Kansas and Justin (Heather) Roberts, Oxford, Pennsylvania, father-in-law and mother-in-law Dwain and Carolyn Pyle, De Soto, Kansas, brother-in-law David (Jena) Pyle, Gardner, Kansas and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family. Kerri, Briley, Blane and Ashley,
We have been praying for you during these last few shocking and painful days. We will always remember Brian as a kind and generous man who deeply loved those who called him husband, father, brother and son. May you be comforted by the deep peace that only Jesus can give. Continued prayer on your behalf....

Brian is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I’ve ever known. Having Brian as a very dear friend has been a special blessing for me. Brian taught me how to be a better husband, father and friend. All solely through the example he set. There will forever be a hole in my life now that he is gone. Miss you Brian.... Craig Miller
