Condolences

Condolence From: Pat and Bob Parr
Condolence: We are so sorry to learn of Mrs. Petty's passing. We were neighbors for about 20 years on Goodman. We did not get to talk too often as we were all working long days, but every conversation I had with Betty was delightful. She told me so much about the neighborhood's history as she and Cal were some of the first "settlers" in Glenwood Heights. I enjoyed her sense of humor and her great compassion and caring and comforting when my parents passed away many years ago. I really hated to see them move away and I'm sorry I didn't keep more in touch over the years. I only slightly knew Calayne but I did enjoy Shauna and Brandon and our son,Kerry, enjoyed playing with Brandon. Betty was certainly proud of her girls and her grandchildren and I know she was a loving, caring and fun Mom and Grandmother. I never got to know Diana like I would have liked to. But every morning when I went out to get the newspaper, Diana was waiting for the school bus and would always wave.

Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time, but Betty was such a good person and left a legacy of good memories. Only if there were more people like her, the world would be such a better place.

Sincerely,
Bob and Pat Parr
