There aren't enough words to describe AL Lane, I recall how he cared for Darlene with such incredible patience.
I wanted to wish him a Happy 100th birthday in person but Covid got in the way. (He and Bob's brother Chuck
went to High School together, and I loved hearing those little stories.)
You were very fortunate to have him these 100 years!

Uncle Al was always brightened a room. His demeanor taught us how to conduct ourselves and how to treat others , especially family!

Uncle Al was a good soul among us – probably the best. I admired how hard he worked every day, never complained, and kept to simple beliefs. When I asked for his secret, he told me “Love God and love family and be kind to people.” He always did those things. As a kid, I remember he and Aunt Dean were not just cousins; they were good friends with my folks. They were happy people.
In these last several years, Marsha shared her dad with me on those long trips to reunions. What a gift to know him better. That time is so precious. My “cute Uncle Al” was so special – a light in our lives. He certainly had a well-deserved 1st class ticket to Heaven. I will miss his kind eyes and big hugs.
To Marsha, Marianne & Rob – I am sorry you lost your wonderful dad; but so very glad you had him as long as you did. I just know my parents and yours are laughing and playing cards right now. Love you all, Brenda
