E. Delores "Dee"  Huggins
Delores (Dee) Huggins, 73, of Gardner, KS passed away Sept. 14, 2017 at Olathe Hospice House. Memorial Service at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, Ks. Cremation. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com

Dee was born on May 15, 1944 in Bath County, Kentucky to Everett Clay Richard and Goldy Haven. Dee grew up in Kentucky, lived in Ohio and moved to Kansas City, Missouri and then California, where she lived for a short time, returning to Olathe. She married Kenneth “Ken” Allen Huggins on August 8, 1989 in Tennessee. Dee graduated from Madison High School, Middletown, Ohio. She attended Cosmetology School in both Kansas City and California. She was the owner of the Excellence I Salon in Olathe for 19 years. When she retired, she joined her husband as co-owner of Cars, Trucks & Etc. (formerly Excellence I). Dee worked for many years in cosmetology. She loved quilting, sewing and was a very talented artist. She was a perfectionist and could do anything. She will be missed by family and friends.

Dee was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, Charlie. She is survived by her husband, Ken of the home; children: Kelly (Jamie) Carpenter, Olathe, Kerry Carpenter, Los Angeles, Jerry (Melissa) Ogle, Olathe, Renee Cline, Los Angeles and Ashley Huggins, Olathe; brother, Danny Richard, Middletown; and eight grandchildren.
