Barbara was born September 9, 1917 in Gardner, KS to Clifton Leroy and Eura Louella Myers Horn. She grew up in Gardner, graduating from Gardner High School and then attended Business College. Barbara moved to KC after high school. She was an underwriter for Travelers Insurance for 40 years. Barbara was a member and very active in her church, South-Broadland Presbyterian, KC, MO. She was an elder, a member of the Keystone Class, PW, and Keenagers. Barbara was a wonderful cook.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen Lawrence Brown and siblings, Lorene Horn Higgins, Ronald Leroy Horn and Darrell Miller Horn. She is survived by son, William Clifton Brown, KC, MO; siblings: Carolyn Jane Donovan, Grandview, MO; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
