We were truly sorry to hear of Virginia's death. We appreciated your daughter calling us to let us know so we could include your family in our prayers. We have good memories of the time I was your pastor at Atonement and as fellow members at Advent.
We know that our Lord will bring you peace and comfort in these days.
Grace and Peace,
Bishop Charlie & Pauline Maahs

The Flanagan cousins all knew Aunt "Pete" (Virginia Petersen Flanagan) could keep us on our toes. She had that quiet & unexpected humor and a twinkle in her eye that usually meant she picked up on our jokes that others missed. She was that aunt that took us swimming when we visited in the 1950s & 1960s. Many years later, she was the aunt that told us about growing up in a conservative Danish family and about facing many health & life challenges with a grace & faith in God that was humbling. We loved Aunt Pete. Uncle Don & cousin Terri and cousin Mike's family, you are in our prayers and have our sympathy for your loss.

What a lovely and faithful woman of God, was Virginia Flanagan. We were so blessed to have the Flanagans as members of Advent for so many years. Please accept the heartfelt sympathy of all of your Advent friends, who remember you fondly. We all know where the Flanagan pew was - and every time I look that way, I see Virginia and Don (and sometimes Terri) worshiping there. Rest well, until we meet again.
