Verna “Nadine” Murray, 96, Olathe, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Nottingham Health and Rehab, Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, Kansas with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, Kansas. Nadine was born on December 10, 1925 in Bonita, Kansas to Iram and Iris Louise (Donovan) Murray. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1946.  Nadine did clerical work for Fitts Dry Goods and lab work for United Film Company both located in Kansas City, Missouri. She retired in 1987, from the Gardner Medical Center working as a cafeteria cook for 20 years.  She was a lifelong area resident.  Nadine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Gardner, Kansas.  She enjoyed creating quilts and collecting salt and pepper shakers.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Don, Wayne and Paul Murray.  She is survived by her sisters Lillie Louise Murray, Olathe, Kansas and Ruth Stone and husband Richard, Gardner, Kansas, several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
