Shirley May Strausbaugh, 80, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away at her home Friday, September 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 and a Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 both at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Shirley was born July 28, 1942 in Mount Hope, Kansas to Dell Dallas and Mable Lee (Kasenburg) Roberts. She graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1960. Shirley married Jerry Strausbaugh on October 30, 1965 in Gardner, Kansas.  She worked as a hostess for Danny’s Restaurant, Spring Hill and later as a cook for Dinosaur Den Daycare, Olathe, Kansas. She had worked as a house cleaner and babysitter while raising her children.  Shirley loved to read, solve word search puzzles, watch game shows, can vegetables and cook.  She was known for her homemade chicken and noodles and potato salad. Shirley was a member of the Ocheltree Baptist Church.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry; siblings: Kale, Noreen, Colleen, Reed, Gary, Kay and Jerry.  She is survived by her daughters: Becky (Wayne) Noll, Spring Hill, Kansas and their children Emily, Fort Scott, Kansas and Luke, Spring Hill, Kansas; Sherry Strausbaugh, Spring Hill, Kansas and Jennifer Strausbaugh, Spring Hill, Kansas and her daughter Kayla (Jadon Gray) Strausbaugh, Gardner, Kansas; sister Sheryl (Gene) Hoffman, Spring Hill, Kansas and sister-in-law Jo Roberts, Newton, Kansas.
