Scott Adam Mead, 31, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Jan 23, 2022 at Kansas City Hospice House. He will lie in state at 3:00 pm Jan. 27, 2022. Funeral service follows at 4:00 pm at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS (913) 856-7111. Burial will be at Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City, TX. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Neurofibromatosis Network. Cancer Association of choice, or Kansas City Hospice House. Service in Bay City, TX will be held Feb. 1, 2022. Scott was born Sept. 8, 1990 in Bay City, TX to Sharon Lynn (Brunson) and Kenneth Wayne Mead, Sr. He grew up in Bay City, TX; moving to Overland Park, KS two years ago. Scott worked for Cold Point Transport as a traffic clerk.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay City, TX and the Masonic Lodge of Bay City, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister Kimberly Neagle. Scott is survived by his mother, Sharon, Overland Park, KS; siblings: Heather and husband Matt Goben, Olathe, KS and Kenneth Wayne Mead, Jr., and wife Rhonda, Humble, TX; maternal grandparents, Roy and Betty Hummel, Wichita, KS; girlfriend, Ashlee Moore, Warrensburg, MO; and many extended family members along with his Cold Point family.
