ROBERT JAMES WILLIAMS

Robert (Bob) James Williams, 98, of Spring Hill, KS, passed away May 8, 2021 at Black Hawk Assisted Living. Graveside service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Blair Cemetery, Camdenton, MO. Bob was born April 4, 1923 in Rochester, MN to Fred and Irene (Drake) Williams. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN. Bob married Mary Ann Rowe on April 14, 1951 in Chicago, IL. They later moved to Camdenton, MO where they owned Walleye Resort. During the years with the resort Bob became a Pilot, owned his own plane got his Real Estate license with Century 21, became a Real Estate Broker and later owned Good Earth Realty. He was quite the entrepreneur. He set up a covered wagon outside of Gerbes and served smoked meats. He started Fast Track slot cars and owned Lake Mini Storage. He played golf until he was 93. He was the oldest member and 2nd oldest golfer at Lake Valley Country Club.
Bob became ill and moved to Valley View, Texas with his son and daughter-in-law to take care of him. He then moved to Spring Hill on Aug. 18, 2019 to be near family. He will be missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, in 1991; his parents and brothers: Fred and James Williams. Robert is survived by his children: Drake Robert (Debra) Williams, Valley View, TX; Melinda (Shay) Ryburn, Olathe, KS Grandchildren: Krystal, Benjamin and Bobby and Great-grandson, Wade.
