Robert Edwin Springstead II, 64, Gardner, Kansas passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022. Robert was born in Topeka, Kansas on April 1, 1957 to Robert E. and Francis E. (Dunaway) Springstead. After graduating from high school, he entered the Army Reserves. He worked in law enforcement as a police officer for Spring Hill and Paola. Robert married Kimberly L. Vaughn in Olathe, Kansas on February 10, 1990. He worked as a truck driver for Ozark Ready Mix Company, formerly Kincaid Ready Mix, for 17 years. Robert was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed target shooting and shooting competitions. In Robert’s younger days, he rode and raced dirt bikes.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and son Mike in 1998. He is survived by his wife Kim of the home; son Robert “Robby” Springstead, Ottawa, Kansas; sister Sharon Weigand, Tucson, Arizona; brother Gary Braxton, Topeka, Kansas and grandson Jameson Springstead, Parkville, Missouri.
