Robert “Bob” Lee Mayhew, 76, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.  Wednesday, March 15, 2023 with the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas (913) 592-2244. Burial  with Military Honors to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, Kansas. Bob was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 18, 1946 to Aaron Alexander and Cora Belle (Baker) Mayhew.  He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1964. Bob was a United States Marine Veteran, serving from 1964-1968.  He worked in construction and was a member of Local Labor Union 1290. Bob married Patricia Johnson Teeter on July 30, 1994 in Spring Hill, Kansas. He enjoyed gardening, football, family gatherings, cookouts and doing house repairs for his children. Bob and Pat did everything together, enjoying life and each other’s company. He especially cherished his grandchildren who gave him much joy. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Robert; sisters: Donna, Diana and Connie and brothers: Aaron Jr, James, Herbert, Jerry and Ronnie. He is survived by his wife Pat of the home; children Denise (Travis) Barcelona, Bonner Springs, Kansas and Tracy Mayhew, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; stepsons Troy Teeter, Olathe, Kansas and Trent (Liduvina) Teeter, Olathe, Kansas; sister Deborah Tompkins, Warrensburg, Missouri; grandchildren: Kaycee, Savannah, Kimberly, Destini, Rhiannon, Isabel, Jason and Franklin and one great-grandchild on the way.
