Obituary for Robert "Bob" Merle Bracy

Robert “Bob” Merle Bracy, 70, Edgerton, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 19th, 2021. Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at the Gardner American Legion. Bob was born in Bar Harbor, Maine on July 3, 1950 to Merle Lester and Ruth (Austin) Bracy. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam. Bob worked as a helicopter mechanic, retiring after 25 years. He lived in the Gardner Edgerton area for the past 49 years. Bob married Penny Moore in 2004. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Bob enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, playing the slot machines and Bingo.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Phillip and William Bracy. He is survived by his wife Penny of the home; children: Susan (Derek) Husson, Lisbon, Maine, Marcia (Jeff) Booton, Gardner, Kansas, Nancy Bracy, Gardner, Kansas, Marie (Patrick) Partney, Gardner, Kansas and Christine (James) Scovil, Gardner, Kansas; siblings: Herman “Butch” (Kathy) Bracy, Darlene (Larry) Krason, Richard Bracy, Pamela (Donald) Krason and Rebecca Bracy all of Bar Harbor, Maine; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
