Randy Lee Whitworth, 46, Lenexa, Kansas passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, Kansas. Randy was born September 3, 1974 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri to Margaret Ann (Sykes) Whitworth. After graduating from a Christian high school, he earned a Business Degree from Mid America Nazarene University, Olathe, Kansas. Randy worked as a lab technician for Clinical Reference Laboratory, Lenexa, Kansas since 2001. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Olathe, Kansas. Randy liked basketball, reading and being with his friends and work family. He loved music, especially country music by Blake Shelton. Randy enjoyed movies and some of his favorites were “Star Wars”, “Pete the Dragon” and “Mary Poppins”.

Randy was preceded by his siblings Lyle Wayne Whitworth, Jr. and Lyla Lynn Whitworth. He is survived by his mother of the home; Aunt Marilyn Sykes, Lancaster, California; Aunt Ruth Stewart, Trenton, Missouri; cousins: Tane Sykes and Brody Mullen both of Lancaster, California, Jeremy and Megan Sykes and Autumn and Lincoln Sykes all of Sandpoint, Idaho and special friend Pam Lawrence, Stilwell, Kansas.
