Preston Hale Norton, 72, Gardner, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at home.  The Gathering for the Preston Hale Norton Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Preston was born April 26, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas to Henry Ladner and Mary (Sandlin) Norton.  He grew up in Wichita and graduated in 1967 from North High School, Wichita, Kansas. He married Kathryn E. Bevis on March 22, 1973 in Wichita. Preston worked as a nurse assistant in Clay County Hospital, Clay Center, Kansas and a welder for 10 years for Hutchinson Royal Manufacturing, Clay Center, Kansas. He lived in Wichita, Miltonvale and Clay Center before moving to Gardner in 2019. Preston was an avid reader who loved  to write poems, solve crossword puzzles and walk.  His most valued time was spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

Preston was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Norton. He is survived by his wife Kathryn of the home; son Tim P. Norton, Olathe, Kansas and daughter Pamela (David) Corral-Norton, Gardner, Kansas; brother Hank Norton, Wichita, Kansas and three grandchildren: Zach, Ben and David
