Peggy A. Cook-Cannedy, 69, De Soto, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. Peggy was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 24, 1953 to James Buford and Thelma Louise (Cardin) Cook. She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Peggy married Eddie Cannedy on December 5, 1980 in Kansas City, Kansas. They later moved to Clearview City, Kansas. She worked as a manager of J Mart, De Soto, Kansas, a waitress and private caregiver. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brother James “Jimmy” Cook and sisters Mary "Kathy" Nekouee and Sherry Wilson.  She is survived by her children Patricia "Pati" Chaline, Waianae, Hawaii and Jimmy "Bo" Ramsey, De Soto, Kansas; siblings: Linda Brooks, Kansas City, Kansas, Patricia “Kay” Gaunce, Louisburg, Kansas, Gary Cook, Kansas City, Kansas, Teresa Najm, De Soto, Kansas, Janet White, Shawnee, Kansas and Marlon Brantley, De Soto, Kansas; grandchildren: Ashley, Julia, Brittany, Hanah and Robert and two great-grandchildren.
