Obituary for Nancy Ann Moore

Nancy Anne (Myers) Moore, 84, of Gardner, KS passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021. The
visitation will be at 10:00am on Friday, March 12, 2021 with a rosary at 11:30am and Mass of
Christian Burial at 12:00pm. All services will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 555 W.
Main, Gardner, KS. Burial will follow the mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shawnee, KS.

Nancy was born October 18, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joseph Ernest Myers, Sr. and
Marguerite Ethel (Howard) Myers. She was the oldest of three children. Nancy graduated from
Argentine High School in 1953. She married Ed Moore Sr. on November 25, 1953. Together,
three children were born to them: Christine Michelle, Edward Wayne Jr., and Jolana Kay. Nancy
was a resident of Kansas City, Kansas until she and Ed moved to Gardner in 1994. She was the
Secretary/Treasurer at Ed Moore Construction for many years. She was a member of Divine
Mercy Catholic Church.

Nancy was dedicated to her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were
the love of her life. She loved attending any events that her children and later in life, her
grandchildren, were a part of. She loved being a part of the Golden Oldies Car Club and was
the President for many years. She was also a member of a local Red Hat Society. She loved to
bake and host family holidays. She was extremely talented at sewing. Nancy can best be
remembered for her feisty spirit and love of matching outfits and jewelry.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Ed Sr. in 2010. She was also
preceded by her brother, Joe Myers Jr., in 2012 and her sister, Pat Phillips, in 2015. She is
survived by her children: Christine (Tony) Mirocke, Lee’s Summit, MO, Edward Jr. (Teri) Moore,
Eudora, KS, and Jolana (Terry) Simpson, Gardner, KS. Eight grandchildren: Dominic (Victoria)
Mirocke, Andrew Mirocke, Peter Mirocke, Edward Moore, III, Dustin (Heather) Moore, Amanda
(Cody) Smith, Hillary (Kevin) Kauffman, and Shelby (Tim) Niemeier. 10 Great-grandchildren:
Jackson Mirocke, Blake, Kaleb, & Dylan Moore, Colt & Tyler Moore, Rowan Smith, and Jaylee,
Beau, & Luke Kauffman.

Her family would like to thank Scott Averill and the staff of Wellsville Retirement Center for the
care and compassion shown towards Nancy for the last years of her life.
