Matthew Joseph Bozick, Jr., 84, Louisburg, Kansas passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas (913) 592-2244. Matt was born In Kansas City, Kansas on February 5, 1938 to Matthew J. and Mary Ellen (Turk) Bozick. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Wyandotte High School. Matt worked for Deluxe Check Printing, Lenexa, Kansas for 37 years. Matt was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1955-1964. He married Carol Ann Johnson on March 16, 1973 in Miami, Oklahoma. They lived in Spring Hill for more than 40 years until recently, when they moved to Louisburg four years ago. Matt was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Paola, Kansas. He served in the church as High Priest Group Leader, enjoyed studying the scriptures and loved doing temple work. Matt and Carol enjoyed traveling, using an atlas and loved trying new restaurants. Matt enjoyed watching Fox News and would often share great “Dad jokes” with precise timing during moving watching with his family.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carol; sister Rosemary Krotz; sons Clark Richard Goodwin and Clint Michael Goodwin and daughter-in-law Melody Goodwin. He is survived by his children: Catherine (Dean) Riedel, Kansas City, Missouri, Charles Goodwin, Jr., Blue Springs, Missouri; Brian (Ann Marie) Bozick, Melbourne, Arkansas, Bret (Traci) Bozick, Overland Park, Kansas, Bruce (Amy) Bozick, Kansas City, Missouri; brother Michael Bozich; 24 grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren.
