Born December 23, 1932 in Greenwood, MO, along with her twin sister Phyllis Langdon. Lois lived in Olathe, KS since 1972, with prior residences in Independence, MO for 22 years, Overland Park, Prairie Village and Emporia, KS. Lois graduated Northeast High School, Kansas City, MO, in 1951, Kansas City Junior College with an Associate in Commerce degree in 1953. She worked for Macy’s, C.P.A. Firms as a statistical typist and office worker for 15 years. Lois retired from Johnson County Register of Deeds office where she was a Senior Clerk in 1989. Lois was always active in churches that she belonged to. She taught Sunday School class to mostly 5th graders, for 20 years. She was active in Women’s Fellowship groups, Bible Study, quilting, sewing, and visiting ‘shut ins’ in their home or nursing homes. Lois planned crafts, day trips, and singing in schools, college and some church choirs. The church was her life and she also loved being with family and traveling all over the USA. She was a loving mother, wife, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was an assistant Girl-Scout leader and belonged to the Eastern Star of Independence, MO, Chapter 329 since 1955. Her kindness and compassion will always be remembered by all and she will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Ruhlman, CPA; her brother, Rev. Lloyd Keith Hendrickson; her twin sister, Phyllis Langdon; stepson Randy Heath, and special friend, Keith Tolson. Lois is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Vance Lively, Auburn, KS; her extended family in the Denver area, stepson, Richard (and Mary Pat) Heath; grandchildren Ryan (Peggy) Heath, and Gwin (Ryan) Howsam; her great-grandchildren Kris and Joey Heath and Finn and Drake Howsam; and her adopted family, Phyllis Hood and family; many nieces and nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, special friends and neighbors.

Special thanks to Dr. David Lee who provided care to Lois for over 29 years. She had wonderful care providers through Olathe Health. Also special thanks to Olathe Health Hospice Care for the compassionate care they provided during Lois’ final days.

We are very saddened with the loss of a dear friend. Lois was a friend that we befriended many years ago at Grace United Methodist Church. She belonged to bridge groups that my wife shared with her. Always a compassionate person, Lois shared her many abilities. We were so sorry that we were unable to attend the services. Richard and Barbara Lewis

We knew Lois when we attended the same church in Emporia. Later in Olathe we have renewed our friendship with Lois and family. In last several years Lois played bridge with the bridge group which we served as leaders. We wish to send our symphaty and prayers to the family. May God be with you during this sad time.
