Linda Sue Staley, 72, of Gardner, KS, passed away March 12, 2020 at her home. Cremation. No services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements: Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS (913) 856-7111.Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com

Linda was born March 1, 1948 in Paola, KS to Clyde E. and Freda Mae (Barber) McCoach. She grew up in Parker, KS and attended Osawatomie High School. Linda later lived in Olathe and moved to Gardner in 2011. She married Steven Neal Staley in 1965 in Osawatomie, KS. Linda worked at the JC Penney’s Call Center for thirty some years; retiring in 2010. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching movies. Linda was a music lover who especially enjoyed Michael Bolton and the Beatles. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steven, in 1999 and brother, Richard McCoach and brother in Laws John Goddard and Paul Staley. Linda is survived by her sons: Chris Hummel, Orlando, FL, Ronald D. Staley and Scott E. Staley, both of Gardner, KS; grandchildren: Colin and Mellisa; sister, Barbara Goddard, Cleveland, MO; sister-in-laws, Diane Downing, Gardner, KS, Patsy Staley, Wichita, KS, Becky Johnson, Wichita, KS, Kathy Cooper(Jerry) Harlingen, Tx and several nieces and nephews.
