Obituary for Linda Louise Schmack

Linda Louise (Chandlee) Schmack, 63, of Spring Hill, Kansas passed away into God’s loving arms on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, after many long years of a debilitating illness. Christian Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 22779 Metcalf Rd, Wea, Kansas, 66013.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8300 Quivira Road, Lenexa, Kansas. The family requests those in attendance to dress in business casual attire.

Linda was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 16, 1958 to Lawrence Edmund and Mary Ann (Kremer) Chandlee. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, Shawnee, Kansas. Greg and Linda were high school sweethearts. They met as seniors in 1976 and married on June 6, 1980 in Shawnee, Kansas. Their romance lasted over 46 years; they were soulmates forever.

Linda was blessed with a wonderful loving family. She was a very private person, loving wife, great mom and an awesome Mimi to Mattie Lou. She was so proud of them all and would do anything for them along their life’s journey. Linda was the family “Rock”. Her family was very important to her and they knew she was always there for them. Mattie Lou always brought a loving heartfelt smile to Linda every time she saw her. She was Linda’s wonderful Little Angel.

As time went by, Linda’s illness became worse, she tried not to let it stop her from being with her loving family, they were her inspiration. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed her iPad, crafting and fishing with her mom and dad. Linda will always be remembered in our hearts and soul as a private, compassionate, kind, loving wife, mom and Mimi.

We will never forget you “Our Rock”, our everything.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Greg of the home; daughters Alison (Schmack) Broockerd and husband Kyle, Spring Hill, Kansas and Valerie Schmack, Overland Park, Kansas; son Ryan Schmack, Overland Park, Kansas; granddaughter Mattie Lou Broockerd.
