Lanita Kay Oyer, 62, of Gardner, KS, passed away June 2, 2021 at Olathe Medical Center. Graveside service will be 10:30 am Friday, June 11, 2021 at Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, KS. Family will be gathering to greet family and friends, 11:30 am at Connections Community Church, 736 S. Center, Gardner, KS. Lanita was born July 25, 1958 in Ottawa, KS to Wesley Dwight and Barbara N. (Hoover) Oyer. She grew up in Lane and Garnett; moving to Gardner with her family in 1966. Lanita graduated from Gardner High School in 1977. She worked as a clerk for many places including Oyer’s Super Saver, Big O’s Convenience Store, Gardner Sonic and McDonalds. Lanita was a member of Gardner First Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing cross stitch, word searches, and watching TV. Lanita will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Roger and Steve Oyer. Lanita is survived by her brother, Doug and wife Jan Oyer and sister, Denise and husband Mike Chambers, all of Gardner, KS.
