Kenneth James Keltner, Sr., 71, of Gardner, KS passed away Oct. 25, 2020 surrounded by his family. Mass Of Christian Burial Friday, Oct 30 10:00 am at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 555 W. Kenneth was born Jan. 29, 1949 in Van Wert, OH to Jesse Louis and Esther (Mohr) Keltner. He graduated from high school in 1967 in Van Wert, OH. Kenneth married Marilyn Poeppelman on Sept. 12, 1970 in Celina, OH. They lived in Gardner, KS for 21 years and in Edgerton, KS before that. He was a fireman EMT for six years in Lexington, OH. Kenneth worked as a telephone technical technician for 47 years at United Telecom. He also worked for Gardner Parks and Rec. for six years; retiring in 2019. Kenneth was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Lloyd Keltner, Bruce Keltner, Sarah Keltner, Gladys Wolfrale, Louise Coughner and Leola Beagle. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the home; sons: Kenneth “Ken” Keltner, Jr., Kevin Keltner, both of Gardner, KS and Jeffery and wife Pam Keltner, Fayetteville, NC; four grandchildren: Alexandria, Jeffery Jr., Noah, and Christian.
