Kelly Michele Allegret, 56, Gardner, Kansas passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Tumbleweed, Bar & Grill, 615 E. Main Street, Gardner, Kansas. Inurnment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Tucker, Georgia at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Disease Association. Kelly was born in Decatur, Georgia on May 23, 1967 to Francis “Frenchy” Jean Paul and Maxine Kelly Allegret. She grew up in Tucker, Georgia where she graduated from high school in 1985. After high school, Kelly earned a business degree from Georgia Tech. She moved to Gardner 25 years ago. Kelly opened the first Waffle House restaurants in Kansas. Those locally were in Gardner, Olathe and Overland Park. She currently worked as a warehouse manager for Wagner Industries, Edgerton, Kansas. Kelly was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Braves, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. She especially loved her friends and visiting all the breweries. Kelly loved her dog Peaches and cat Phat Betty.

Kelly was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Marc Andre Allegret, Tucker, Georgia; aunt; nieces Taylor (David) Hodgson, Raleigh, NC, Emily (AJ) Smith, Atlanta, GA, and nephew Evan Allegret, Wilmington, NC. and her cousins.
