Obituary for James "Pat" Patrick Green

James Patrick Green age 60 of Yates Center, Kansas passed away peacefully at his home on August 14, 2022. Graveside Service for Pat will be 1:30 p.m.  Friday, December 2, 2022 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, Kansas.  “Pat” as referred to in his younger years by family and friends or “James” as he was fondly called later in life was preceded in death by his parents James Lester Green and Jeane Elayne Randall Green.  Pat is also survived by his older sister Tammy Gillis and younger brother Kip Green and their families.

Pat was born on March 5th, 1962 in Olathe, Kansas and continued his life in Spring Hill, Kansas for most of his younger years. He graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1980 where he enjoyed Football, Basketball, Baseball and singing in Madrigals as well as many other extracurricular activities.

He is survived in death by his children. Eldest to youngest as follows:  Adam "Patrick" Green (his namesake) and his wife Heather Leigh Gay Green of Gardner, Kansas blessed Pat’s family with three lovely girls - granddaughters: Tara Green, Natalie Green, and Chelsea Green. His beloved and only daughter Kristen Courtney Green added several sweet grandchildren to Pat’s family tree - Bryana Newton, Koleyna Newton, Aysa Newton and Athena Sandefur-Green. Derek Christopher Green, a talented young man, married Valerie Green and they have one beautiful little "Green" - Adelyn Jo Green, completing Pat’s legacy of eight grandchildren. Alex Noah Green is a young, brave and creative soul now residing in Lawrence, Kansas. Alex being the youngest of his children, became very close to their dad and they enjoyed each other’s company greatly.

Pat was skilled in many different types of work but always considered his children to be his pride and joy and greatest accomplishment.
