James “Jim” David Houston, 67, Gardner, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.  A Masonic Service and Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on  Sunday, October 16, 2022 at The Warren Place Venue, 136 E. Jim was born on July 6, 1955 in Gardner, Kansas to James Lee and Evelyn Lorraine (Sargent) Houston.  He was a lifelong area resident. Jim was the former owner of the Downtowner Cafe, Gardner, Kansas for 19 years. He married Jina Jones in Gardner, Kansas. Jim was the Past Master of Gardner Masons.

Jim is survived by his children Katie and Joe Houston and siblings Meta Pitcher and Robert Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jina and brothers James Houston and John Houston.
