Jerry James was the finest next door neighbor I’ve ever had. He was quick to smile and quick to laugh. Always happy to lend a helping hand. He could grow the most beautiful yard of green grass that I have ever seen. He loved his family so much and was a great parent to his kids. He was a loyal Lenexa resident. When he and Betty moved away the neighborhood lost a great resident. His yard and home were always well kept and you could see his pride of ownership from a good distance. He was such a generous soul. He and Betty’s place straddled a street in front and a street behind. They kindly put a gate on both the front fence and the back fence to let all the neighborhood kids pass through instead of having to walk all the way around. Heaven’s a brighter place with him there and this earthly place is a little dimmer. My heartfelt condolences to Betty, Kim and Julie.
Sincerely Mike Swofford
