George was born July 1, 1991 in LaGrange, IL to Peter George and Avis (Armfield) Solie. He graduated from Gardner Edgerton High School in 2010. George participated in musical choirs throughout high school. His love of music was exceeded only by his love for his family and friends. George knew how to be a good friend. He also eagerly sought out opportunities to serve, from comforting a friend or assisting his father as they worked on their home, to participating in clean up after the Greensburg tornado and Osawatomie flood. These were but opportunities to serve friends he had not yet met.

At the time of his passing, George was serving as a full-time missionary in the Utah Salt Lake City West Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. George loved serving the Lord in this capacity and went to sleep happily anticipating the coming day’s work, but was issued a new calling from the Lord before he awoke.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dwaine and Bonny Solie, Grand Meadow, MN. George leaves behind his parents and his siblings, John and Karen, all of St. John, KS; maternal grandparents, Howard and June Armfield, Janesville, WI; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Matthew 28:19 (King James Version)
