George Reed Sink, 94, of Gardner, KS passed away July 5, 2020 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa. Visitation will be held 10:00 am with the funeral service at 11:00 am on Sat., July 11, 2020 all at Antioch Baptist Church, 22668 S. Waverly Rd., Spring Hill, KS. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church. George was born June 1, 1926 in Ottawa, KS to Clifford Doc and Mary (Blouch) Sink. He grew up in Ottawa. George served in the United States Army in the 103rd Artillery Division from 1943-1945. He married Frances Irene Seaver on Nov. 24, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. They moved to Olathe in 1956 in order for George to work at the Delco Battery Plant. He worked there for 30 years, retiring in 1987. George was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Spring Hill, KS. He loved farming and raising cattle. George enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He will be missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elva Imel. George is survived by his wife Frances; children: Bruce and wife Janet Hilner, Paola, KS, LeRoy and wife Mary Hilner, Manny, LA and Lareeda and husband Ace Hickey, Lawrence, KS; eight grandchildren and Ten great-grandchildren.
