Gary Gordon Jamison, 63, Louisburg, Kansas passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and funeral service 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 both at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas 66083 (913) 592-2244. Burial at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, Kansas. Gary was born in Bridgeport, Nebraska on September 11, 1958 to Gordon Gibbs and Luella F. (Steichen) Jamison. He was a 1976 graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School, Lincoln, Nebraska. On May 23, 1981, Gary married his high school sweetheart, Priscilla Ann Thompson. Gary graduated from University of Nebraska in 1982 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned his Professional Engineering Certification. He worked for Black and Veatch Engineering and Architecture firm for 38 years. He worked on projects in Thailand, Bangladesh, Kentucky, Minnesota, Florida and Oregon. Gary retired in 2019. His adventurous spirit lead him to participate in sky diving, flying, motor cycling and scuba diving. Gary was a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited and President of Skeet League. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and dogs: Junior, Hoover, Deke, Solo and Pacer.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Jennifer Ann Jamison in 2004 and sister-in-law Diana Curry. He is survived by his wife Priscilla of the home; sisters Jean (Philip) Hood, Lincoln, Nebraska and Judy (Dennis) Cetak, Columbus, Nebraska; brothers-in-law Dan Thompson and Daryl Thompson; 15 nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
