Ernest “Ernie” Edmond Anderson, 92, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at home. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas 66083 with the funeral service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kansas. Ernie was born on November 21, 1929 in Hays, Kansas to Hallie Earl and Hazel (Allen) Anderson. He graduated from Wyandotte High School. Ernie was a United States Navy veteran. He worked for Simmons Mattress Company, Kansas City, Kansas, retiring in 1995. Ernie loved to travel the states and abroad. He enjoyed airplanes and working on cars. He especially favored Chrysler made automobiles. Ernie was an overall good guy and kind soul. He was a member of Life Spring Church, Spring Hill, Kansas.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Nannette in 1992 and siblings: Lois, Letha and Earl. He is survived by his wife Lou of the home; children: Darcy (John) Crute, Overland Park, Kansas, Robin E. (Joseph) Barber, Lenexa, Kansas and Stephen Anderson, Kansas City, Missouri; siblings Ron Anderson, Mesa, Arizona and Sherrie Sigman, Shawnee, Kansas and granddaughter Brenna Barber.
The family would like to thank neighbors Jeff and Julie Kearns for their kindness and support during Ernie’s illness.
