Don was born Dec. 1, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Donald Dwight Hugo, Sr. and Helen Margaret (Clark) Hugo. He graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1959, and from Marquette University in 1963 with a BS in Mathematics. Don also earned his Masters in Banking Administration from Rutgers University. He served in
the US Army as a SSgt from 1963-1969. Don married Linda Trabon on Nov. 28, 1964. They have lived in Olathe since 1976 and before that they were residents of Prairie Village, KS. Don was employed as a banker since 1964, first at Centennial State Bank, and then Mission Bank after the merger; retiring in 2008 as Executive Vice President. He was a parishioner at Gardner Divine Mercy Catholic Church and was a past president of the Mission Area Chamber of Commerce, and had been a past member of the Old Mission Kiwanis Club and the American Legion.

Don was an avid golfer, and he passed on his love for the game to his children and grandchildren. He coached his boys' baseball, basketball, and football teams and attended almost every activity his children participated in over the years, as well as the activities his grandchildren enjoyed. He loved to winter in Arizona, and traveled the country extensively to attend as many of the milestones in his children and grandchildren's lives as possible, including ball games, graduations, birthday parties, baptisms, and weddings. If something was important to his family, he was there. Don never met a stranger, and leaves behind many, many good friends. He was a devoted husband.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bernard A. Hugo, and granddaughter Kaydee Hugo. Donald is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; four children: Rebecca and husband Chris Kriley, Butler, PA, Donald D. I originally knew Don from St. Agnes grade school and in later years I did business with him at Mission
State Bank. He was truly a soft spoken prince of a guy. Knowing Don was a genuine favor for me.
Best thoughts and prayers to Linda & family. RIP old friend. Jim Mayer
