Daniel Francis Dougan, 79, Gardner, Kansas passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, Kansas 66030 (913) 856-7111. Dan was born May 29, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri to Vernon Mack and Lorene Wynona (Moore) Dougan. He graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1960. Dan married his first wife, Joy on January 30, 1960, who preceded him in death. He then married Barbara McCrory on October 26, 2003. Dan worked for Delco Battery and was a home building contractor. He also farmed. Dan was a member of Cedar Lodge #103, Chanute, Kansas, Millbrook Lodge #281, Hill City, Kansas and the United Methodist Church, Bogue, Kansas. He was hard worker who enjoyed being outdoors. Dan liked to hunt, spend time on his tractor, ATV and dune buggy.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents ; first wife Joy and siblings: Dale, Dennis and DeAnna Dougan. He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; daughter Bethany (Ted) Sellers, Wellsville, Kansas; sons Vincent (Lisa)Dougan, Colorado and Steven Allison, Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Robert (Melissa) Bowden, Daniel (Korey) Bowden, Blake (Michala) Allison, Brandon Allison, Bryan (Jordan) Allison and Brooke Allison and five great-grandchildren.
