Daniel “Dan” Eugene Sharts, 44, of Gardner, Kansas passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at New Life Church, 17935 S. Moonlight Rd, Gardner, Kansas with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Dan was born September 25, 1976 in Merriam, Kansas to Terry Eugene and Debra (Small) Sharts. He grew up in Johnson County and graduated from Gardner Edgerton High School in 1996. Dan earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Safety from Waldorf University, Forest City, Iowa. Dan proudly served in the United States Army for 18 years and worked for Honeywell from 2015 to 2017. He married Jessica Borelli on September 3, 2002 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Dan was a member of the Topeka American Legion and New Life Community Church of Gardner. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing vegetables and plants, woodworking, traveling and fishing with his children and just doing things with family and friends. Dan liked to include everyone in activities. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Jessica and children Katie and Tucker, all of the home; mother Debra Small, Peculiar, Missouri; father Terry Sharts, Hobbs, New Mexico; siblings Kelly Sharts, Grandview, Missouri and Ike Sharts.
