Daniel D. Beets, 62, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be at 5pm – 7pm Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas (913) 592-2244.  Graveside service will be at 10:30am Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Kansas. Dan was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 7, 1960 to Lyle Don and Rose Marie (Storch) Beets. He graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1978. Dan graduated from JCCC with his Emergency Medical Technician certification. He was a firefighter and captain of Consolidated Fire District #2 in Prairie Village, KS. Dan was an entrepreneur and most recently worked as a cook for Spring Hill Care and Rehab. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family, gardening and decorating his home for the holidays.  He cared for dogs and cats throughout life. Dan attended Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, Hillsdale, Kansas.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by numerous friends and family, including his brothers Jeffrey Beets, Paola, Kansas and Bradley Beets (Julie), Kansas City, Missouri, niece Anna Beets Lewis (Mike), Denver, Colorado, and nephews Kyle Beets and Steven Beets, Kansas City, Missouri.
