Carl Foster Snider, 64, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at St. Luke’s South Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.,with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 South Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas 66083 (913) 592-2244. Interment in Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, Kansas. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Snider Family in care of Bruce Funeral Home, to help with funeral expenses.
Carl was born on November 29, 1956 in Akron, Ohio and raised by Sanford Clark and Elta Mae (Rex) Snider. He lived in Ohio and Alaska before moving to Overland Park in 1977. Carl worked as an industrial welder with Garsite for 15 years and retired from Dimensional Innovations, Merriam, Kansas. On January 7, 1978, he married Cheryl Roxanne Ridenour in Kansas City, Kansas. He loved to fish and was a true “Jack of all Trades”, always working with his hands. Carl was a member of Carpenter’s Local Union #1529.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Sanford and Dewaine, and sister Ruth Foster. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Roxanne; children: Amanda (Philip) Tejera, Overland Park, Kansas, Dustin (Christi) Snider, Olathe, Kansas and Cody (Amber) Snider, Gardner, Kansas; grandchildren: Tyler, Sofia, Aidan, Jackson and Bennett; siblings: Leonard Snider, Mesa, Arizona and Beth Ann Snider, Tallmadge, Ohio.
