Bruce James Clawson, 67, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 with the Celebration of Life following at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Community Church, 19300 US-169 Hwy, Spring Hill, Kansas. Bruce was born August 13, 1954 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa to Ralph James and Helen Louise (Johnson) Clawson. He grew up in Iowa and graduated from Burlington Community High School, Burlington, Iowa. On February 15, 1975, Bruce married Carla Jean Bowman in Burlington, Iowa. They moved their family to Spring Hill in 1986. Bruce worked for Aldi’s as a warehouse supervisor, retiring after 25 years. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Bruce enjoyed hunting, Corvette cars, donating to charities, fantasy football and the Kansas City Chiefs. Bruce loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his wife Carla of the home; daughters: Stephanie (Mark) Meek, Roxanne (Cale) Quinn, Laura (Casey) Hines and Brodi (Daniel) Canaan all of Spring Hill, Kansas; brothers Michael (Pat) Clawson, Wisconsin and Dennis (Cheryl) Clawson, Iowa; seven grandchildren; mother-in-law Janet Bowman, Iowa; sisters-in-law Peggy (Brian) Nickols, Spring Hill, Kansas and Shelia Martindale, Spring Hill, Kansas; brothers-in-law Richard (Megan) Bowman, Spring Hill, Kansas and Brad Bowman, Iowa and several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents and triplet grandchildren.
