Braxton “Braxy” Michael Swanson, 15, Osawatomie, Kansas passed away Monday, May 18, 2020. Private family visitation Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, Kansas. Braxton was born on October 26, 2004 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jennifer Swanson. He was born premature at 26 weeks and spent six months in the University of Kansas Medical Center NICU unit. Braxton had over 20 surgeries in the first six months of his life and was not expected to live. Given a 1% chance of surviving, Braxy overcame so much and had an impact on the lives of those he came in contact with. He was loved by everyone who met him. He was a freshman Life Skills student at Osawatomie High School, Osawatomie, Kansas. Braxy liked to play soccer and was a goalie. He enjoyed amusement park rides, especially riding roller coasters and bowling for Special Olympics. Braxy loved going on adventures. He has traveled from California to Florida. Some of his favorite places to visit were Universal Studios, Disney World, Worlds of Fun and Circus Circus in Las Vegas. There are no words to express how much he will be missed. We love you, Braxy Boy.
