Betty J. McSpadden, 85, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at Overland Park Regional Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. Betty was born May 21, 1937 in Delia, Kansas to Rufus Edgar and Nova (Lay) Day. She enjoyed working at the Dazey Products Company, Gardner, Kansas and the Leslie Company, Olathe, Kansas before retiring.  Betty was also a self-employed seamstress who could sew, repair or upholster almost anything. She always enjoyed a challenging crossword or jigsaw puzzle. She loved all kinds of animals and cared for many. Betty and her family moved to Spring Hill in 1965. She attended Ocheltree Baptist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Frank, Don and Larry and brothers: Glen, Ray and Hank. She is survived by her daughter JoLynn Hobbs and husband Tally, Leawood, Kansas; sons David McSpadden and wife Maggie, Edgerton, Kansas and Miles McSpadden, Junction City, Kansas; sisters: Ruby Patterson, Mary Foreman-Harvey and Carol Kadel; brothers: Frank Day and Bobby Day and ten grandchildren.
