Bessie L. Stacy, 91, Olathe, Kansas passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Anthology of Olathe.  Cremation is planned with no service. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com

Bessie was born on July 2, 1930 in Rolling Forks, Mississippi to JC Collet and Iantha Jones.  She married Jay D. Stacy on August 31, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bessie worked at Safeway/Food Barn for over 20 years, becoming the first female manager of the store. Bessie was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Olathe, Kansas. She enjoyed watching golf. Bessie will be missed by family and friends.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jay; daughter Sharon Jones; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children Wesley Stacy, Gardner, Kansas and Marlene Stacy, Belmont, North Carolina; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
