Obituary for Alethia J Fasolino

Alethia J. Fasolino, 87, McKinney, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022.   Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2022 at Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, Kansas.  Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneral.com

Alethia was born on November 16, 1934 in Gardner, Kansas.  Her parents were Charles Amos Finley and Lillas Mae (Irwin) Finley.  She had two beloved brothers, Cecil Irwin Finley and Robert McLaren Finley.

On May 23, 1953, she married the love of her life, Rosario Paul Fasolino.  They met while there were both students at Kansas State University and were married sixty-two years.  They had two wonderful sons, Ross Fasolino and Russ Finley Fasolino.  Ross Fasolino and his wife, Carren were loving care givers to Alethia after the death of her husband.  Russ Finley Fasolino and his wife, Denise gave great moral support by staying in constant communication; although living several states away.

After her marriage to Rosario, Alethia achieved four college degrees and became an educator.  She taught or worked at every level of education from Kindergarten through the Ph.D. She was principal of three schools and a Superintendent of Schools.  At that time, she was the only woman Superintendent in the State of Idaho.

She was proud of her rural roots; even though she traveled and lived in many places in the United State and Europe.

She loved animals and children and had a very happy life, surrounded by good, caring people.

Alethia is survived by many beautiful young people:  Stacie Leanne Echanove (a librarian) her husband Travis and four children, Evelyn, Peter, Rosalie and Caroline:  Ashley Sierra Fasolino (a chef):  Sean Dublin (Army Officer, Retired) his wife, LeeAnn and two daughters, Samantha and Michaella: Angelique McGary (a hair stylist) and two sons, Jaedyn Greene, his wife, Briseida and two children, Paola and Julia and Xandeur Greene: Several nieces and nephews and their children.  Alethia tried to remember each of these precious young people with birthday cards throughout the year.
