Dear Ricki- I’m just finding out about Jim’s passing. I’m so terribly sorry. I think about you and Jim and all the beauty at Red Cedar. I’ll always remember making mushroom houses with him. You were both so warm and encouraging. I’ll miss his sharp wit. He was a stinker, in the best possible way! Always fun. I wish you all the best. I hope to come out and say hello soon. Much love, Kathy

Ricki,
My heart is so saddened with the news of Jim's passing.
No words however kindly meant, can soothe your pain away, but may the thoughts around you help. And may each day that passes, bring you hope and comfort too, through memories and the heartfelt prayers of friends who mourn with you.
I will think of him when I sit on my deck and enjoy my garden that he was instrumental in helping me create.
Hugs
Deanna

Dear Ricki,
I was so sorry to hear about your dear Jim.
May God cover you & all the family with His abundant graces & blessings to bring comfort & peace in the difficult days ahead.
I fondly remember coming to pick the Zinnias that Jim planted to use in arrangements at Nativity . His Mom loved seeing the flowers when she came to church knowing they were from You!
I miss coming out to Red Cedar. I hope to come out to see the gardens this fall before you close.
❤️

I'm so sad to hear this news. Jim was always the highlight of my brief work experience at Red Cedar (which I loved) and every visit to Red Cedar. I always smile remembering him calling me "Clementine" when teasing me about detangling the Clematis vines. And I FINALLY like reuben sandwiches after being talked into one of Jim's world famous reubens one cold spring day. A (not so) grumpy, sweet, hard-working man will be missed by many. Thank you, Jim, for the memories. May God bless and comfort all of you during this sad time. Rest in His grace and His love.
