Obituary for Dianna Dean Jaklevich

Dianna Dean Jaklevich, 79, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away at her home, Saturday, January 26, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2019, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas 66083 (913-592-2244). Rosary at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 21650 W. 115th Terr., Olathe, Kansas 66061. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Olathe, Kansas. Memorial may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, Olathe, Kansas. Condolences may be left at brucefuneralhome.com

Dianna was born January 26, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to John Near and Minnie (Green) Holderness. She grew up in Kansas City and attended Ward High School. Dianna married Paul Peter Jaklevich on January 25, 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma. She worked at Deluxe Check in Lenexa for 30 years at a variety of positions, with the last being billing coordinator before retiring in 1997. Dianna and Paul became parents to six children. She is a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe. Dianna enjoyed bowling, ceramics, crafting, shopping and going to the casino. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eileen Cordell. She is survived by her husband Paul of the home; children: Paul D. (Melanie) Jaklevich, Spring Hill, Kansas, Richard G. (Diane) Jaklevich, Shawnee, Kansas, Gary J. (Lori) Jaklevich, Shawnee, Kansas, Gayle A. (Dan) Wade, Spring Hill, Kansas; Karen S. (Steve) Winters, Gardner, Kansas, Dana D. (Rich) Graham, Olathe, Kansas, 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and sisters Gloria Newman, Bonner Springs, Kansas and Mary Wilson, Independence, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
